Lately on the news I have been hearing about an ongoing debate about homework. Good? Or Bad? Is it helpful to children in primary years or is it a waste of time that could be spent with family?
Let me know what you think…

One Response to “Homework?”

  1. Although I have never been a fan of homework myself, its importance is not to be taken lightly. I feel that it is essential for children to learn how to manage their own time, and take care of tasks in life they may not have done if a teacher is not around to make them complete the assignment. I think this empowers them to stick by a commitment in life, even though they may not “want” to. I also think that it helps them learn to keep themselves open to learning beyond the traditional classroom. Life is about learning from every experience, every person you meet or from day to day life. Having them prepare their minds to think beyond the walls of school, will ensure they enter the adult life with an open mind and and the ability to take in all life has to offer.
