Cheap Book Ideas
I guess I am on a reading splurge this week. With all this talk about read..read..READ! (no really, I mean it!) I need to stress how easy it is to get inexpensive books and materials for your children.
- If your child goes to a public school, you most likely have heard of the Scholastic Book Clubs. They have them for each age groups, but the best part about this is the books are SO CHEAP! Really, check out the prices in your most recent newsletter or at the Scholastic Website. (Oh yeah, by the way, when you order, your classroom gets points for FREE BOOKS for their class library!)
- Amazon.Com has books as little as $0.01 (can’t get better than that)
- Ebay.com has cheap books if your a thrifty online auctioner
- Yard Sale Shopper? Keep your eye open for these finds!
- Thrift Stores
- BookPlanet is a book club that will send you books every month and your initial membership is an awesome savings!
- StarFall allows you to download books for your reader!
There are many ways to bring literacy into your child’s life. Don’t let the cost stop you. Its worth more than the cover price!!!!
